Why Change is Imperative for ASD
Our children deserve better than the rankings in educational outcomes across the nation. It's unacceptable, and the time for change is now. Here's why:
Educational Performance
We've seen too many years where our students have been let down by a system that doesn't prioritize their academic success. We need leadership that focuses on rigorous education rather than political agendas.
Financial Mismanagement
The current incumbents have had their chance, and what have they done with our tax dollars? Too often, we've seen wasteful spending on programs that do not directly benefit our students' learning. I promise a more fiscally responsible approach, ensuring every dollar is used to enhance education, not bureaucracy.
Leadership Shortcomings
Soft leadership has led to a lack of accountability and transparency. We need strong, decisive leaders who will put students and taxpayers first, not the status quo.

My Stance for Our Schools
Back to Basics
I believe in focusing on core subjects like reading, writing, math, and science. Our curriculum should equip students with the knowledge they need for future success, not ideological indoctrination.
Merit Over Mandate
I advocate for a merit-based system where students and staff are rewarded for hard work and achievement, not for meeting arbitrary diversity quotas that often ignore true merit.
Parental and Community Involvement
Local control, transparency, and community engagement are at the heart of my platform. Parents and local stakeholders should have a significant voice in how our schools are run.
Safety and Well-being
Ensuring our schools are safe and conducive to learning is paramount. This includes addressing mental health but also ensuring discipline and order in our classrooms.
Fiscal Responsibility
We'll look at every penny spent to ensure it's going towards educational excellence, not excess. This means scrutinizing budgets, cutting unnecessary expenses, and being accountable to taxpayers.

Anchorage voters can cast their ballot for Anchorage School Board by April 7, 2026, via mail-in or in-person voting.
