Meet The Team: A Diverse Force for Change in Anchorage Schools!

Updated: Feb 25

Our campaign is powered by an extraordinary team from all walks of life, united to transform education in Anchorage. The vast majority include the parents and teachers that I have talked to in the past 5 years about the status of the district but unable to speak openly on their own. Powering the campaign, are 4 Alaskans. Each from completely different walks of life. There's no way I'd be set up for this campaign without their strength and dedication. Here's a closer look at the individuals driving the mission:

Aidan MacKinnon - Marketing Strategist/Producer

Aidan MacKinnon is a 19-year-old entrepreneur, media producer, and founder of Alaskan Rants, a podcast covering politics, religion, and Gen Z news. Based in Alaska, he runs multiple ventures, including a marketing agency and real estate business, leveraging media and networking to empower young entrepreneurs.

Aidan is our future, taking life by the horns and using what he's learned in ASD. He deserves the chance to thrive here in Alaska. I've met countless military members, students, and tradesmen throughout my life; Aidan has what it takes to succeed. He inquires about what voters want, moving beyond one-liners and propaganda. He is not limited by any one viewpoint.

Kate's relentless, reminding me where to be, managing conflicts, and keeping connected. She allows me to focus on listening and being present, critical for my mental health during this election. Her active communication with district staff keeps our kids' needs in focus.
