Eagle River and the Anchorage School District is no different.
2 weeks ago, and email was sent from Stacey Moncur to Alpenglow Elementary School parents asking for help. She had broken her wrist and needed help with the kiddos in the library. The SignUpGenius filled up quick.
I snagged a spot to help out with the Kindys and 1st grade. It was the best two hours of my winter so far. Seeing how Ms. Moncur interacted with the kids, I was very happy with our new School librarian after Lisa Bunag moved up in the world.
Stacey and I spoke about how she broke her wrist and how her husband was there to support her. She was so thankful for him and spoke highly of the kind of man he was. She also mentioned he was back out at work and how it was a rule for them to text when he landed...
He did not come home, and it is heartbreaking. We never know how long we have. Hug your loved ones and let them know every day how much they mean to you.
If you are able, make a donation to help the family through.
